There was a time when winemaking was deeply personal. Friends and family would gather to share their recipes, their knowledge, and their laughter as they worked together to craft a wine that embodied the spirit of their community.
Imagine a time when there was no need to call ahead because the door was always open, and you were always welcome. You would be greeted with screams of delight, ushered to the kitchen table as wine and food would magically appear to begin your leisurely visit.

Donna Stoney,
a pioneer
After a distinguished career in social services — including being one of the first Black female Case Managers in Oregon's Department of Human Services — Donna saw the power of community in transforming lives.
With the guidance of mentors carrying a combined 60+ years in the wine industry, she completed another first: launching her label and becoming one of the first Black female winemaker-enologists in Oregon.

Stoney Wines launched in September 2019 and is about far more than producing excellent wine. It is about leading, enabling, and creating an extraordinary life for all. Our wines are paired with recipes from the Stoney Family — and with family lessons on life, love, and inspiration.
